All rentals are subject to the standard terms and conditions of the Car Hire Supplier’s rental agreement. These terms and conditions are subject to change at the supplier’s discretion without prior notice
Please take note of the following:
Drivers Licence:
The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 23 years old. The driver must provide a valid, unendorsed drivers licence which has been held for a minimum of 2 years.
Additional Drivers:
Should there be more than one driver, the driver’s licence/s for the additional driver/s need to be supplied to the car hire supplier. Failure to do so will result in insurance cover not being granted.
Extension of Rental Period:
Should you wish to extend the period of your vehicle rental, please advise us immediately as failure to do so will result in the vehicle no longer being insured.
Accident & Theft:
In the event of an accident or theft of the vehicle, it is important to notify us as soon as possible. Please obtain all Third Party details should another vehicle be involved and report all accidents and theft to the nearest police station in order to obtain a case number.
Cross Border Policy:
Rental vehicles may not cross over the South African Border without permission from the Car Hire Supplier. Crossing the border requires written authorization which is issued at a fee.
Car Hire Insurance does not cover the following:
- Windscreen & glass damage or breakage
- Tyre and rim damage
- Damage caused on a gravel road
- Water and undercarriage damage
- Any excess included in any policy covering the hired vehicle
Cancellations:
Failure to cancel your reservation less than 24 hours prior to collection will result in a cancellation fee being charged.
No Shows:
Failure to collect your vehicle without cancelling your reservation will result in a no show fee being charged.
